My Students

I have a wonderful class of 17 kindergarten students. They are full of energy and excitement and love to learn! Although we have only been together a couple of months, they have developed special relationships with each other and they truly seem to enjoy coming to school each day.

My students thrive in a learning environment where they can be active and involved.

They enjoy stories but I believe their favorite times in school are those in which they work in small groups.

My Project

This interactive reading and writing center will help enhance student learning in my classroom in many ways. This will provide a way to display materials at their eye level during instruction, as well as provide opportunities for hands on manipulation of materials and interactive writing.

Students will be able to actively participate in reading and writing lessons as well use this center when working in small groups.

There is a magnetic board, dry erase area, and a place to store materials for easy access. It is double sided which will allow several students to use it at the same time during literacy stations or center time.
