Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My goal as a 3rd grade teacher is to get all of my students excited about learning. I have a self-contained class of 24 students with whom I explore all subject areas. I have a decently sized library but no audio books. My students need an additional resource with which they can read. They are voracious readers who love to read, explore, and share books!
The listening center I am requesting is a tool that students of differing levels can use to share quality literature.
My Project
Our students truly take the meaning of our school mascot. They embody the meaning of the word "Hero." They are Heroes because they work very hard and always do their best! They are challenged on a daily basis and always find a way to be successful! Our students have growth mindsets, and they never give up! These students are not only problem solvers; they also love to share their ideas, their answers, and their stories. They just love to learn! Our school slogan is “Think, Act, Be a Hero!” Our Heroes are problem solvers, lifelong learners, and give meaning to the word: Heroes.
