Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My exceptional education students are reading more fluently everyday. They are beginning to ask me if it is time for independent reading.

The new books will allow my students the opportunity to choose from a variety of books to read at their individual reading level.

My students will also be able to select books with characters that look like them. I teach eight African American students and I selected books that they can relate to. My students will absolutely love these books!
