I have the most amazing and sweetest group of pre-K students. I teach a half-day pre-k program that serves both three and four year olds. For some of my students, this is the first time they have ever stepped foot in a classroom.
My students are excited to learn everything they possibly can.
A vast majority of my students travel a great distance to come to school every day. Some travel over half an hour and are so excited to be at school. As a teacher, it warms my heart to see a child ready to learn and so excited to be at school.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach such eager young learners. And I can't wait to set them up on their paths to success.
I wish to provide my pre-K students with the opportunity to read. Since my students are three and four years old, they can't read themselves. Many of my students are great at making up stories to go with the pictures.
But I would love to be able to make a poster of QR codes they could scan using an iPad and have that story read to them.
Not only does this help them to develop language skills, it also expands their vocabulary. And they will have the opportunity to follow along as the story is read to them. This will help them with word recognition as well.
I really want to instill the love of reading in my students. And I hope you can help me to achieve this goal. Thank you so much!
