My Students

I teach the struggling readers in our 2nd grade classrooms. The kids that come to me don't typically have books or support at home. I need much more at my finger tips to take them to where they need to be as readers. They need more engaging books, AT their instructional levels.

My students are excited and eager to learn!

They love school and being here, but we do not have what they need to take them to the next level in our reading curriculum, as struggling readers. These books would provide them with exciting books, at the levels in which they should be reading at.

My Project

My students need more books at their instructional levels from the Scholastic New Nonfiction Readers such Sports Talk, Community Helpers, and Biographies. My students will use these books every single day in my reading class and in other areas of our curriculum. This will help give them books that are relevant and interesting to their little minds! It will also help me be able to push them to new levels.

This project will make a difference in my classroom every single day!

It will assist me in taking these passionate and excited minds to new levels, learning while they are being taught!
