Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing.

My students love listening to authentic audios and music from Spanish-speaking countries and has helped them learn new colloquial words from the Latin American countries.

The class-set of headphones will allow them to listen to those audios over and over again at their own pace, without feeling rushed or shy.

My students are the most engaged when reading about things they can relate to. The class-set of the children's book will allow my kiddos to learn about the culture Latin America through a meaningful story with a great life lesson. This book is about a porcupine who just wants/needs a hug but nobody seems to want to. He eventually finds somebody. I believe my middle school students will relate to this A LOT since they have a lot of emotions that are often kept inside.
