Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Pictures make retelling a story an easier task; doubly so for English Language Learners. These felt storytelling kits will assist our students in remembering the plot of the story while also allowing them to practice their vocabulary. By introducing these books and storytelling kits to our class, my students will be more engaged during reading as there will be a tangible object in front of them to manipulate.

My hope with this project is to foster a love of storytelling within my students.
