Fourth grade is a very interesting grade. My students come to me very curious about the world, forming their own little lives, and all wanting to learn!
As a teacher, I get some students in the beginning of the year who hate school and some who think it’s okay and just something they have to do.
My goal as a teacher is to have them begging to come to school and even disappointed if they have to miss school.
I have figured out how to do this. We have to make our classrooms a place where students are comfortable and forget they are even in a school. We also have to make learning engaging, hands-on and memorable!
My Project
I am asking for bean bags to give my students a comfortable place to sit and read. We just attended a sensory training that recommended bean bags, so it hits 2 birds with 1 stone.
We are currently sharing technology with other classrooms in the building, and this would give my kids a resource that would stay in our classroom to help with research for projects, small group instruction, and individualized learning.
We need technology that we can keep in our classroom!
