Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
What can I say, "They are great!".
My students can easily be compared to a fruit bowl full of individuality, attitude and hunger. They are constantly searching for more, and I want to make the classroom a place where they can get comfortable to do exactly that. If they have access to a larger variety of books and are encouraged to read, they will blossom into the great readers that they were meant to be.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend, and our school also runs a food pantry for our families. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
Thank you for your interest in my classroom!
The bulk of this request is focused of building my classroom library. I am requesting an assortment of books that will entice by students to grab one and cop a squat. I really want my boys and girls to yearn for more literature and the best way for me to accomplish my goal is to continuously give them more to read and love.
I am also requesting pencils and erasers because we always need more of these particular supplies.
