This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second graders look forward to reading time every day. They enjoy selecting books from our classroom library to apply their new reading skills. My students are excited to discover new characters and follow them on adventures as they read chapter books in a series. They also love to tackle interesting nonfiction topics and read to learn more.

My goal is to provide a wide variety of high-interest texts within my classroom.

This is so motivating for young readers! I want to see them dive into their books and practice the critical skills of reading with books that they love.

This project will fund a variety of high-interest books from AJK Education.
