My Project

I teach middle school students who are on IEPs. I develop an alternate curriculum for each student. Most of my students are diagnosed with math and reading disabilities and, because of their grade level, I go into each day with a sense of the urgency in making them competent readers and confident practitioners of math.

Access to an iPad will allow students to be more mobile and to access programs that are approved only for my classroom (rather than the rest of the school).

I use a combination of direct instruction and rotating stations to give them opportunities to practice skills using reading apps such as Lexia and Learning Ally, as well as tools I design using Google Slides and JamBoard.
