Help me give my students the joy of reading. These books are a variety of choices that will spark their interest in reading. The price of these books are expensive but the love of reading is priceless!!

These students are always eager to learn and willing to go the extra mile to push themselves academically.
The students come from very different home backgrounds where adequate reading isn’t there. This is my first year teaching and I want to give the students the best library with a wide range of choices for them.
Reading within the urban community is very low. I want to change that. Having a personal classroom library will help kick start our year and give the kids a sense of ownership when it comes to reading. Growing up we are told reading is fundamental. Schools within an urban community may sometimes not have the luxury of having access to books because reading is typically the first to get cut within these communities.
However for my students having a classroom library will be a start for these bright eager students. My students are capable and will do great things here and in the future with a successful library.
My Project
Albert Einstein "The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library." This classroom library will give my students the ability to explore different places without leaving the room.
Having this classroom library will allow my students to have endless access to books of their choosing.
This is my first year teaching so this head start on building my library will not only set my students for this year up but it will also help those who come after. These books will give my students the ability to gain or brush up on reading skills.
Not being able to read books can be detrimental to a child's development. Having this project fully funded will give my students and beyond the chance to be able to compete and grow stronger when it comes to reading within their own classroom library.
