My students need 10 sets of leveled books for our classroom library ranging from level A-E, plus the books, "Billy the Bully" and "Bullying in Schools."
Do you remember learning to read? For some students it is a challenge. Unfortunately, this is where some bullies are made. I want to give my students the opportunity to read on their level and build their love for reading!
I teach Kindergarten at a public school in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
The children come to school eager to learn! Watching their eyes light up is what drives me to constantly search for new ways to keep them engaged. I want to mold students to be lifelong learners!
My Project
Children with low self-esteem and poor school performance are more likely to either be the victims of bullies or become bullies themselves. The 11 sets of leveled classroom library books would improve their comprehension skills and boost confidence in reading. Billy the Bully and Bullying in Schools would help students deal with bullies. Each set of books comes in bins which will help store these amazing books and keep us organized.
These requested resources will provide the jumpstart my students' need to be more confident, stronger readers, and learn how to handle bullies.
