My Students

With a school population of 15% of students in temporary housing, 37% as English language learners, and 40% having disabilities, I am motivated to ensure the best possible experiences for every single of my students. As research shows, children need to be engaged and motivated to learn in school. In addition, students are known to thrive best when they are welcomed into an environment that supports their everyday needs instead of it being physical, social, emotional, or academic.

My Project

The many different books that are here will be a wonderful and fantastic part of a child's day, whether they are reading a book with the entire class, by themselves or even at home with a sibling. These books will help flourish the knowledge in a child's mind and create amazing follow-up questions to the readings they choose. The variety of books here and articles will help their social emotional learning as well, picking upon those specific and important topics. By funding this project my students will be able to increase their reading skills.
