Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a librarian/technology teacher in a rural part of the state of Washington. Our school has a high migrant population, and all of our students receive free lunch. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and situations, yet, each and every day, they come to school with smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts. Thank you in advance for helping me instill a love of reading all while preparing my students to be college and career ready in a 21st-century world!

My Project

I am asking for new titles to add to our read aloud collection. I have done my research and have chosen the highest rated, most engaging books that I know my students will LOVE! I have picked out books about animals, silly stories by their favorite authors and books in their favorite series. I know my kids will absolutely love these books.

I love hearing my students talk about how much they love to read! I love even more to supply them with the newest books out there so that they are able to read 'the latest and greatest'. Many of our students come from families who cannot afford to take them to the bookstore, so it is my job to expose them to what is out there. Thank you in advance for providing my students with these amazing titles!
