My Students

My school is in Norfolk, Virginia. We are a Title I school where all students receive free breakfast, many receive free or reduced lunch. At our school there is a heavy population of special education and English language learners.

My students are hard workers who deserve every advantage they can get.

Especially this year with COVID 19. We work hard to create a sense of community where all types of learners are valued and welcome. You would find their empathy, inclusiveness and understanding to top notch.

My Project

My students have limited access to books at home. Providing them the opportunity to read when we are not able to meet as a class is priceless. My students will be overjoyed to receive the gift of books to add to their homes. I imagine they will read with little brothers or sisters and spend time as a family reading them as well.

I have seen the difference these donations can make and I can't wait to pass it along to my students.

The more they read, the better! Let's provide them with that chance!
