My students need more books to grow our classroom library and develop a deeper love for reading! This project will allow my students to have a large variety of interesting books to choose from each day.
My students are remarkable and diverse! They are full of energy, embrace technology, and love to interact and collaborate. They represent a wide variety of ethnicities, family structures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and ability levels.
My students are part of Generation Z, which means they take in information quickly and learn differently than students in the past.
They are innovative problem-solvers who require constant engagement, and keep me on my toes at all times! I am always looking for new ways to inspire and motivate them.
My Project
My goal this school year is to teach my students to become lovers of books so that they can become strong readers and leaders of the future. Having a large classroom library is a vital part of cultivating a love for reading in children.
I want my students to love to read and to read just for fun!
My classroom library must offer a wide variety of titles, genres, and various authors in order to meet the many interests of my diverse group of students on a daily basis.
A strong classroom library offers a book to student ratio of 30:1. This project will help make this ratio a reality in my classroom and give my students many books to fall in love with this year!
