Kindergarten is the first school experience for many of my students. They are so excited to come to school and learn new things!
My school has students from all over the world.
I've had students from Russia, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Mexico, Korea, Romania, and so many more places. I can't count the number of times parents have told me they came to our country so their kids could get a good education. My students and I are both lucky enough to be in an environment with students and teachers of many different backgrounds, abilities, needs, and advantages. My goal is to supply my students with the tools they need to succeed in my classroom.
My Project
Reading is a fundamental step for all learning to occur. By providing leveled books with a variety of topics for an independent reading classroom library, you are helping my students become lifetime learners. My students come in with a wide range of reading skills. Students feel successful when they can read a text on their own. In order to do that, they need books at their level. That feeling of success will drive them in all areas of learning. Not only do I plan to use these books with my current class, but also with all my classes in the future. I do not know what is in store for my students in the future, but one common thing for any successful adult is to be able to read!
