Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love my students for they love learning and trying new things. They get so excited when introduced to new activities and a way to learn the old ones. I have students that live with single parents, grandparents, and a couple in foster care, so school is the only positive outlet for them.

I have my students in 3 groups: high, medium, and teach me a different way and I'll get it.

The students help each other often.

My Project

These learning activities will help enhance my students reading. There are several students in my room that are below level and struggle with reading. Having materials to help them better sound out words to make sentences will help a great deal with reading. My ideal for my students is for them to become fluent readers. The sight words and phonemics activities and books will be a great addition.

The students in my low group will really benefit from the phonics and rhyme activity learner sets.

The students in the middle and high group will benefit greatly from the sight readers.
