Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Most of my students come from low-income, minority households but they refuse to let this define them. They have big plans for their futures and know they have to work hard to achieve their goals. They know what they need to do to be successful, they just need a little encouragement. They need to know that learning does not have to be a burden, it can be exciting, fun, and it can be rewarding. I do all I can for my kids, and I just want to give them every possible chance to be successful.

My Project

These laptops will add two extra computers to my classroom. In my district, classrooms are limited to 3 or 4 computers per classroom. This is not nearly enough for to have an actively engaged and excited learning environment. The addition of these two laptops will make it possible for me to have rotating centers in my classroom, assign research projects, and give my students a chance to have virtual field trips.

My students will also be able to complete assignments required by either their personalized lesson plan or intervention plan.
