My Students

I teach 5th grade. My students have many challenges impacted by Covid 19 such as emotional anxiety and stress-related struggles, educational challenges due to the inconsistency of school for them due to shutdowns, quarantine, and at-home learning.

This is a challenging year for all of us so I have attempted to make this year as normal as possible and have made a goal to include more engaging learning activities especially in American History.

I have amazing students who deserve the best learning opportunities available to them each and every day!

My Project

As our class learns about events in American history through simulations at school we also read to find out what actually took place during these historical events. Enabling my students to have access to great books about these events will help them truly learn and understand events in history as they learn to love finding out what life was like way back when.

Providing amazing books that tell what happened in history will help my students gain a love for America and its past both good and bad so they can learn how to keep America the great country it is.
