I teach at a public school in Tempe, Arizona. These past few years have been very hard on my students and for many of them school is their safe place. Despite everything, they come to school each day with a smile! My students are eager and dedicated learners and they love coming to school every day!
This year my students are so excited to come to school every day and one of their favorite things is to read books out loud together!
With this project I plan to get social-emotional books and interactive books for my students. Every day, we read one or two books after lunch and it has become my students favorite part of the day! By funding this project you will help to create this magical time each day with my students.
My Project
Every day in my class I make it a goal to read one or two books aloud to my class. Usually this happens to be after lunch. This has become my students’ favorite time and they look forward to it every day!
With this project I am hoping to get fun read alouds that are interactive and also promote social-emotional learning.
More than every it so important for me to teach social emotional learning to my students and using picture books is the perfect way to do that! I am also hoping to get some books that are fun and interactive to help keep my students engaged in literacy!
