My students are creative, unique, and full of questions! Third grade is such an important year for students. The curriculum starts to get harder, the students start to become their own individual, and learning can be done independently or in group work.
Many students in my classroom say they have a difficult time completing assignments online.
With virtual learning, I want to be able to reach all of my students and parents in a way that is the most supportive. I want to see all of my students be successful.
My Project
This year in third-grade, we are using a program for reading whole group called notice and note. Within this program there are several sections the students will be learning about: contrast and contradiction, aha moments, though questions, again and again, and memory moments. I am requesting books that will help with contrast and contradiction lessons in whole group reading.
This project will support instruction of read aloud books that are needed to complete this understanding.
Each picture book helps teach different topics that the students will be learning about. Students are mixed between being in person along with online so this will benefit both levels of instruction.
