I need to help cover the registration cost of educator training so that I can learn strategies to increase student engagement, create a classroom culture that encourages academic success, and promote academic rigor.
This project expired on March 1, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach an enthusiastic class of 23 second graders. They are so energetic and come to class ready to learn every day. We have a great classroom environment where we encourage one another, give hugs, and positive praise often. I love watching my students lift up their peers and encourage them to try again.
It is wonderful seeing a student who is struggling get encouraged and cheered on by their peers.
Then watching that student get the courage to try again. I remind my students daily that everyone makes mistakes including me, but we must try again!
It is a dream of mine to attend the well-known Ron Clark Academy educator training. My project will help to cover the registration fees for the two-day training.
Ron Clark Academy will give me strategies to increase student engagement through higher order questioning, while promoting academic rigor.
This professional development will impact the rest of my teaching career. I am confident that I will leave this training with a new "fire" and passion for teaching.
Through increased student engagement, students will be more successful and will be excited about school. I will be able to promote academic rigor while reaching the needs of all learners in my classroom. I am hopeful that my students will be positively impacted by the strategies that will be implemented following this professional development.
