Reaching the Community

My Students

I currently have 256 students at my school. My students are great students who have a love of sports. They are very excited about this new season. I want to help them succeed in their challenging environment.

The students in my school are a diverse group of children who come from intricate family backgrounds.

Our school is located across the street from two homeless shelters for families. It is an upstart program that helps students and their families get help to find permanent housing. I teach at a low-income school and in a classroom full of eager learners who are enthusiastic about coming to school every day.

My Project

My students have started a community garden and a community fridge. The garden was started by my students themselves and so was the refrigerator. We get a lot of donors that donate goods for the garden and refrigerator. My students need a tablet and keyboard to crate fliers so that they get more members of the community to come to the garden and get food. The resources on the tablet will allow them to create beautiful attractive fliers that catch the attention of the people in out community. They are only getting the attention by word of mouth, but they want to impact a larger group.
