Ms. Wilson from Dayton OH is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a class projector to be used as a smart board for math.

What's a 21st century classroom without technology! There is so much to do with math and science that my students are not able to capture because the supplies aren't there. My students have not discovered learning like I know they can...so much has changed and their still behind.
My students are so bright and full of life.
They have a passion for learning and you see it everyday. My 4th grade students attend alow income, free lunch, urban, charter school in Ohio. With technology not being available, I feel as if my students are not pushed to their maximum potential. We make due with what we have, however, I can only imagine what they can become with more resources. They are inspired to be doctors, teachers, lawyers, and even astronaunts.
Resources are limited in my urban, school districts. Being a charter school makes it even harder to come by. However, with this projector, I can create things that we do not have. This projector will be turned into a smart board with the use of an iPad to give the students a better experience in math. Students will be able to complete activities that they once could not do; for example creating graphs, building 3D figures, using shapes for geometry, and so much more. This projector will allow students to have a visual to more ways math is used. It inspires them to reach for the careers that involve more than basic skills. I want to prepare my students for jobs that are in high demand and also to have students know that with the right skills they can create their own jobs for our future.
Donations to my students project will make a great difference in their attitude for learning and their excitement for math.
In early grades, students don't focus a lot on science, however, with a projector, their are so many programs and activities that can be done to embrace both math and science. This is very important to my 4th grade students because they aren't given a lot of things to further their education. Some students dread being home, this will bring them excitement to come to school.
