Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever had a hard time getting your point across? Have you ever grown frustrated because your teacher cannot match your educational need? My students are low functioning students with autism. They have a hard time communicating anything with us and they have a hard time learning how we teach. These students need technology to support their educational path.
My students have autism, intellectual disabilities, rare genetic disorders, and intense language delays which make them non-verbal.
My students need every piece of help that they can get. They are often struggling to meet their basic needs. My students need to be guided, informed, and helped to live the best quality of life possible.
My Project
This project will help my low functioning students with autism, intellectual disabilities, genetic disorders, and severe language delays that lead to being non-verbal. These students need iPads from this project in order to best suit their educational needs. The iPads will use teacher approved apps to further communication, literacy skills, and specialized educational goals.
By funding this project, you will help change 12 lives forever in a way that they cannot do so for themselves.
This project will help these students who are at a disadvantage due to their specific disabilities get as close to baseline as possible. My students will learn how to count, trace letters, use Unique Learning, use Vizzle, and achieve fine motor skills through technology.
