Help me give my students a chance to play instruments and perform even outside of the school. They missed a traditional performance in the building but with enough recorders for each student we can keep the show going!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our 4th and 5th grade students are full of life and love music. When they walk into the music room they begin to come alive with creativity and movement. We perform at least 4 times throughout the year for the entire school and love it when families are able to join in with the fun!
My Project
The students left school last year before our Recorder unit. Due to Covid the students are no longer able to share sanitized instruments. This will allow each of the students to have their own recorder and make music at home. We will share our skills in class each week by way of zoom. The class time will be a performance time for the kids and a great way to share their skills. They will also be able to use these instruments to play at our 3 remaining school performances on zoom. Nothing will stop the music, even a pandemic!
