My Project

I teach Reading and Writing to Special Education students in 4th through 8th grades. The students are working hard to learn to read. However, because they are reading below grade level, it can be challenging to provide them with reading materials that not only look age-appropriate but also motivate and interest them. This project would provide materials to help my students learn various phonics skills. It would also provide books that my students can read and that look age-appropriate. My students work extremely hard and have an incredible desire to learn despite the many challenges they face every day.
