Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing learners, who are eager to create new learning experiences and show off their academic talents. As a primary teacher, my job is to accommodate my teaching practices to meet the needs of my students. I enjoy teaching my kids with different tools such as computer based programs, books on tape, E-readers, and much more.
Exposing young children early to a rigorous curriculum will give students the opportunity to reach their highest learning potential.
Due to the fact that almost half of my class is composed of non-native speakers and some come from low-income families and lack the basic educational resources I have to find creative strategies and effective tools to help the students become literate in a new language and become successful in school.
My Project
The HP Laptop and HPChromebook can be used as supplementary multi-model resources to provide comprehension instead of simply auditory stimulus. English Language Learners (ELL) students that may be having difficulty learning the language would highly benefit from these interactive resources. This tools are also great for all learners, especially for the visual learners who appreciate the use of images, pictures, colors, and visual media. The students will become knowledgeable of the programs we use at the school. This type of technology can also promote student collaboration and can offer students the opportunity to experience the outcomes of their work. The HP Laptop and the HP Chromebook will give the young learners in my class a great deal of wisdom about technology.
