Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my students are English Language Learners, speaking primarily Spanish or Marshallese. My students come to me with a wide range of abilities, cultures and life experiences. Ninety percent of our students are classified below the poverty level.

These students come to school ready to learn in every way and I would love to give them all the resources necessary to succeed!

Integrating hands-on learning into the classroom is a top priority for our classroom! Hands-on learning will help students develop their fine motor skills as well as increase enjoyment in school. The students in my classroom are beyond eager to learn and excel! We would greatly appreciate your donation!

My Project

Help my students get these Montessori inspired stacking stars! They can be used in numerous different ways- counting, stacking, loose parts, tracing, and so on.

The hands-on aspect of these will benefit my students tenfold.

No more picture cards, students will have real items in their hands and I believe their learning and engagement will increase.

We also requested a wooden frame and felt balls. Students will use these in their counting collections and fill the frame. The number sense they gain from this will follow them all throughout their school careers. Plus, it is just a fun way to learn!
