My Students

I have an opportunity to work with many students throughout the campus. I typically work most with students who struggle with social skills, behavior, handling emotions, etc.

At the same time, our students are valued and loved.

They work hard and always try to make better choices. They just need extra support to become successful at school. We have all heard that technology can be a great playing-field leveler in a classroom with diverse learners. It can also assist in providing social and emotional skills.

Our students have amazing potential!

My Project

Many students come to school unprepared to interact socially and emotionally. They need extra support.

I would love to give students access to social and emotional apps and online resources that can help them grow.

This will also provide short breaks that are often needed by students who come from traumatic circumstances or have other mental health or medical needs. Several apps can be used in the classroom or at home to assist in reinforcing social and emotional learning while also helping kids cope with the pressures that we all face.

These apps will help students with everything from anger management to emotional identification to meditation but not if they don't have a Kindle Fire.
