Every week, my awesome northern Minnesota 6th through 12th students decide on self-improvement goals in four important areas of their lives: academic, personal, family, and character. It is my honor to work with Health and REACH students who personify unconditional acceptance and support.
A genuine sense of belonging is what every student needs.
Our classroom is like a second home where my students delve into positive learning and activities that encourage a future of productivity, success, good health, and, most importantly, happiness!
My Project
A nurturing classroom environment has always been a high priority for me as a teacher. During the past school year, I personally purchased furniture and many other items to physically change my classroom from a traditional set-up to a flexible seating set-up. We currently need several stools and a large rug to enhance this transformation.
Through flexible seating, my students have never been more comfortable, focused on their learning, and successful!
The way in which my students responded to the classroom change convinces me that it was one of the best decisions in my teaching career so far.
Our group time will be enhanced if we can add this large rug that the students can sit on, and the additional stools will help provide variety for more students in our flexible seating options. Thank you so much for your consideration!
