My Students

Books train your imagination to think big! -Taylor Swift

Bright-eyed and full of wonder would be a great way to see the world.

My students didn't come into my classroom this way, however, my school is 70% free and reduced lunch. We also serve free breakfast every day within the classroom and 24 out of 27 students in my classroom participate. This is not what I want to define my students.

I want to ignite a passion within them to read. I want them to want to read anything and everything available to them. I want them to talk about the amazing things they are learning with such excitement that you can feel the energy pouring off of them.

My Project

We are constantly discussing 21st-century skills within the educational setting yet implementing them within the classroom with younger grades is still quite a challenge. Reading A-Z and Raz-Kids are correlated to state and Common Core Standards, which means students will be able to access high-quality texts at their fingertips.

Raz-Kids will allow scholars an opportunity to read highly engaging texts while empowering them to hone in their skills within an online platform.

I can't wait to hear my students begging to spend their independent and free time reading and answering the corresponding questions! Please help make our dreams come true!
