Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students of VDL High School reach higher in their journey towards postsecondary education or viable career fields. Our students are not only improving themselves but also their surrounding communities they reside in. These students have shown improvements in all areas creating campus, district, and civic pride in the students of VDL High School. Our students are committed towards higher education and developing skills in a changing career landscape. Our school focuses on developing students academic and leadership goals as they enter the post secondary world of academia or career preparation.
My Project
These materials will assist us in the counseling office by reaching out to the students during information nights & lunch time activities. The canopy will be used by our counselors & students for our counselor on the quad events where we answer any questions about college, financial aid, and career fields. College representatives will also utilize our canopy for outreach events during lunchtime on the quad. The buttons will be used to promote college and financial aid awareness. It will serve as motivation for our Ravens to reach higher in their goals. The banners will help us promote the pride we want our students to feel as they are applying for college, financial aid, or researching a career field.
