My Project

My students are curious, kind, and enthusiastic. They come from a small rural town, and as such, they have an appreciation for everything, especially outdoors and adventure. They always are excited to get new books, especially since I have recently moved to fifth grade and am slowly replacing younger titles with more appropriate titles and newer books that students are interested in. Every year, I ask students to recommend books that they love that I should get, and some of these titles have come up again and again. These books will be used for independent reading, free time, and for homework purposes as some of my students don't have access to their local library. I try to provide titles that will excite them and will make them more willing to read. Our school library is small, and often times due to the volume using it, they either don't have the books, or they are being used by other students.

Please help provide my classroom with enriching literature that transports my students into new worlds.

The variety of books I have chosen are sure to appeal to all students, and have been suggested by past classes to get, so I know they are popular titles. Let's replace my old books with newer titles and new adventures. Thank you for your support.
