Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are hardworking, caring, and enthusiastic children. They love science and learning about the world in which they live. They also greatly enjoy learning about computer science and coding. The students are an impressive bunch with skills and attitudes beyond their years.
The students are faced with many challenges including socioeconomic disadvantages, displacement, trauma and violence in their community.
Many of the students have special needs and/or are learning the English language. Regardless of all their hardships and challenges, they come to school every day with positive, can-do attitudes. Please help me to improve my instruction and enrich their classroom experience.
My Project
The Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Starter PRO Kit introduces learners to computer hardware. There is so much focus on coding but what actually makes a computer and how do you build one? The Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Starter PRO Kit answers these questions and gets students excited about computer hardware.
Once completed students will be able to utilize the computer in class.
This experience will give them confidence and motivation to explore the world of computer science and tinker more. As well as a strong concrete understanding of what a computer is, and how to build one. Students will also learn about operating systems and the actions that make computers work.
