My students need supplies like colored paper, markers, stickers, and candy to create cards with treats as Random Acts of Kindness. My advisory students have taken on this project to show encouragement and support for their fellow students. These are done anonymously throughout the year!
My students are part of an extremely diverse student body, with a lot of potential for the future. We are a 6-12 campus, with a focus on business entrepreneurship and visual arts. Our students are college-bound, and they enjoy projects that apply their skills to real-world issues.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but our focus is always on the future.
We are making every moment count to prepare for college and career readiness after high school graduation!
My Project
My students are trying to make connections with their classmates by doing random acts of kindness throughout the year. One of the projects involves creating cards with words of encouragement that are delivered randomly to students. The colorful paper, markers, stickers, and candy are a nice way to show their classmates that they care. My students enjoy making the cards and put an effort into making them pretty.
We all need encouragement sometimes, and this is a great way for my sophomore students to show empathy and kindness to others.
My students have been very involved in the process and enjoy seeing how a small act can go a long way. Our school is focused on character education, and this is a way for my students to put those lessons into action.
