Phenomena are all around us just waiting to be discovered by my third grade class of 26 inquisitive and enthusiastic learners full of wonder. They attend a large school in San Ramon, California, that consists of very diverse learners from different cultures and backgrounds.
I have an amazing class full of third graders excited about learning, especially when it comes to hands-on science!
They are curious students who are itching to take part in experiments, make thoughtful observations, and pose meaningful theories and predictions with their peers. We are a part of a high performing school located in a Bay Area suburb with parents who take an active role in their children's learning.
My Project
With a Plant Light House and planting supplies, students will have an opportunity to observe the complete life cycle of a plant from germination to reproduction. This access to hands-on learning is imperative to enrich their learning experiences and will provide my class with opportunities to reach all learning modalities. They will not only be able to learn through text and digital resources, but will be able to view it in real life!
Donations to this project will enhance my classroom by giving my students the science resources they need to meet the Next Generation Science Standards.
They will be able to plant and care for their seedlings and annotate their observations. Donations will also allow my third graders to gain richer experiences that will help them become our innovators and scientists of the future. Thank you for your consideration and support for our school!
