This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My Kindergarten students are very excitable. We spend our days learning to read, write, and count, but also how to love, respect and share. We work on ELA, math, science and social studies daily. We are going to master reading!
They love to learn and can make an adventure of mostly anything!
We cherish our memorable moments, such as the hands-on experiences and edible experiments. I am not afraid to laugh or be laughed at and this connection of laughter keeps us close.
We are in an area that needs a lot of attention. The children need the attention, the love and the opportunity to succeed in the most imaginable way ever!
My Project
The students need pencils daily. They run through them like crazy. They also need folders and other small classroom things to keep going.
It amazes me how quickly a pencil can vanish and need replacing!
My students are always starting a new writing adventure or exploring new ways to create things. They truly enjoy the learning process. It would be great to be able to replenish their basic needs when they require them. The pencils and markers being requested will allow them to continue their writing and also assist in their math problem solving as they use the markers on dry erase boards during math!
