This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are incredible! I have 24, motivated, English language learners who are eager to learn.

My students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds with limited resources available.

We are a Title I-funded, Performance Improvement school with a one hundred percent free lunch program. Many parents work two jobs and are struggling to support their families. Though their environments may not always be conducive to learning, they have an insatiable love of learning!

My Project

Happy New Year and we are hoping for a bright future where everyone is safe and healthy. The winter season has arrived and the rains have returned!

We would like umbrellas to keep the students dry as they walk to school.

Many come to school without an umbrella and they are wet at 8 in the morning! That's a long day for students to be in their wet clothing. I would like each student to have an umbrella to use whenever it rains. Many students end up not attending for the day due to the rain.

The masks are going to be used on a daily basis as our safety protocols have become stricter. Teachers now need to wear medical-grade masks and I want to make sure my students have clean new masks. The clips will be used by some students who wear sweaters that are either their older siblings or are too big. It's like a clip that keeps sweaters from opening up. The lanyard clip will be used with the mini iPad so we can hang it as it charges.
