My Project

My students are amazing English language learners that strive to do well while learning a new language and being in a new country. They are extremely sweet individuals that are eager to learn, soak up their new language, and become better academically. These materials will make a difference in their learning because it will give them background knowledge on events that have occurred in our history to make numerous opportunities better for everyone.

By having these books readily available, I can have kid-friendly materials to share with my students to create an atmosphere of kid-friendly conversations to discuss topics that may concern them regarding racial injustices.

In my classroom, these books would be used to cover topics of individuals that were apart of changing our country to make sure that people are being treated fairly regardless of their race.
