My Students

Let's put technology in the hands of the students! Digital technology is here and we want it! Imagine the excitement the students will feel, holding a smart tablet in their hands at their desk in order to take a reading comprehension quiz in Accelerated Reader!

My students are a diverse group that love to read!

They attend an elementary school in California. Though some are struggling readers, Accelerated Reader helps them choose books at their level on topics that interest them. They are very interested in using technology to access the curriculum and demonstrate their strengths.

My Project

My students need a smart tablet to enable them to take their Accelerated Reader Quizzes online. Also, they need sharpies and correction fluid for their book reports. Having a portable smart tablet will bring technology directly into their hands and will also facilitate a 21st century learning environment within our classroom. With the smart table more students will be able to take Accelerated Reader quizzes. In addition, they will learn how to use the latest emerging technologies.

Your donation will impact students in the subjects of Language Arts and Technology.

In addition, by inspiring students to become better readers your donation will also help them to become better at Social Studies, Math, and Science; as comprehension improves they will have a better understanding while reading in all subjects.
