Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a Title I school with students from second to sixth grade. My students are from the inner city and are mostly English language learners. Our school is a pilot school. The school's philosophy focuses on leadership skills with an emphasis on critical thinking.
My students are hardworking, resourceful, and self-motivated young people who are eager to be lifelong learners.
The majority of the students who attend our school will be the first in their families to attend college.
My Project
All the materials being requested in this project will be put to immediate use. These materials will help with a variety of activities that happen in the classroom. This project will hep the instructional day go smoothly.
Having the right school supplies help children to learn in multiple ways.
The whiteboard markers will help with explaining and distinguish steps to solving an equation. The graph paper will assist students with organizing their work. The stapler and staples will allow students to organize and display their work. These were supplies students have been requesting so this was very much a student-generated project.
