My Project

I teach at a rural school in the EC program. My EC students works very hard on reading and math skills. They are in programs that give instructions on what they are supposed to do once they log on. These programs require them to listen very carefully. Our district provides them with iPads so they can have a digital learning experience in the classroom environment. My students would benefit from using headphones in the classroom so they would not be distracted by other noises in the room. Most of my students have been diagnosed with ADHD and any distraction causes them to lose focus.

My students will use these headphones in my classroom so they can stay focused on what is being asked of them while working on their reading and math programs.

These programs work on their level so it is very important that they understand the instructions and what they are supposed to do to move to the next level. The reading programs have videos that they need to watch so they can successfully meet their goals and understand the pronunciation of some words that may be hard for them to decode and say.

My students would greatly benefit from having these headphones in the classroom every day. I will bring them a lot of joy and excitement about learning new skills while at school.
