This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.

I teach at a Title I school in South Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students have learning and emotional disabilities. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

My Project

Imagine trying to work in a classroom with others talking using an inside voice. Now amplify that to where it seems like others are yelling. That is how some of my students feel in my classroom on a daily basis. Daily, my students are in need of these headphones to cancel out the typical classroom noises.

With the headphones, my students will be able to put them on when things get loud in our classroom.

By putting on the headphones, they can continue to focus on their work or the lesson being taught. Student success is vital in a classroom like mine and with the help of these headphones, we will see student success.
