My students need a pair of headphones and a mouse for their Chromebooks to help them focus and succeed using technology.
This project expired on June 15, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach second grade in a small district in MO. Many of our students face challenges in and out of the classroom. Our school is about 80% free and reduced lunch and a Title 1 school. Students are from lower economic backgrounds, and mixed ethnicity. Many are single parent homes or grandparents raising grandchildren.
Creative thinkers, dreamers, inventors, writers, readers, and learners are a few ways to describe my students.
They are exited about learning and may come to school with the odds against them, but I strive everyday to nurture that love of learning. Even if somethings are out of my control in their lives, I can work everyday to make a small impact on them and their success at school.
Having these materials in my classroom, will give each student the tools they need to succeed using technology without distractions. Not every child can bring headphones due to the cost, and earbuds don't work well with most of my students. Students will be able to effectively take tests, listen to text, and work without interruptions.
In a classroom with a lot of different learners and challenges, these materials will be used daily to assist in student learning.
By having these materials, students will be uninterrupted, ready to learn and confident about their success. If this project is funded, my students will be able to increase focus, work more effectively, and be more productive in their learning.
