My Students

Our school's Track and Field teams represent their schools with excellence in athletics and character. They live in a small town and its surrounding rural community. About half of our students are low income. Our schools are among the smallest in our division of competition.

Despite these challenges and a lack of funding, our athletes have been remarkably successful.

Our teams at both schools have produced many district and state placers and champions, most notably the 4x100m boy's team winning the state title last season.

My Project

These starting blocks will help our young athletes by providing a solid foundation from which to start for sprint events. These blocks are easy to use and help to put our athletes into the correct position for getting a great start. This set is easier to use for newer athletes than our current state of starting blocks.

Starting blocks are necessary for today's sprint events as athletes without them will be at a severe disadvantage in sprint events.

With these blocks, our athletes will be on an even playing field with every other team, while our younger athletes will have an easier time setting up for their next race.
