This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students know that our class is a safe space, one of peace, kindness, growing, and learning. Students come from all academic abilities, socio-economic statuses, ethnicities, and home lives. We pool all of our knowledge and resources to create a classroom of acceptance and positivity.

We live in an ever-changing world.

Anxiety and depression are on the rise. With technology used every day, it is difficult to get students to stay focused in class. I am doing everything in my power to provide for the students I love so much.

My Project

I am requesting a water cooler with childproof locks and enough cups for the entire year. I will need to provide the water on my own, but getting these items would be a huge help!

The closest water fountain is very far away from our classroom.

I have been providing water with a pump I purchased this year. Unfortunately, it is a little difficult for my students to use. It requires several forceful pushes for the water to come out. A lot of water ends up on the floor. This would make it quick and easy to keep my class hydrated. Plus, there are child locks so they will be safe from the heat element. (The heat will come in handy for several science experiments, as well!)
