This has without a doubt been my hardest year yet. I have the MOST AMAZING classes and now I do not even get to see them in person anymore. I miss them so so much. At the end of the year we normally do so may fun things and due to COVID-19 I am not going to be able to do those fun things. I teach 2 different classes. Once set of students are students from the gifted and talented group. They are extremely bright and love to be challenged. They not only challenge each other, but challenge me as a teacher as well. They are always coming to me with engaging questions that I will be honest and say I do not always have the answer to. However, I will always find the answer and normally let them help me find the answer as well.
Teaching this year has been full of laughter and smiles with my students.
My second class is a regular education class that is also filled with inclusion students from the special education class. I have many learning challenged students that challenge me to be an even better teacher so I can meet their needs!
My project is all about giving back to my students! This project would fund three new books for each of my 45 students as well as a bag for their stuff to be put in. I want to write inspirational messages to each of my students inside the covers of their books so that they can always remember their fourth grade year, even though it was cut short due to the virus.
These students deserve the world, and I want to at least make them smile, since we are no longer in school due to COVID-19!
I miss my students every single day and want to surprise them with a gift that I can personally deliver to every single student. I have already made a plan to drive around since we are no longer in school to deliver their end of the year gifts. I can not wait to see their faces when they receive their gifts!
Please help me make these kids smile and have a wonderful end of their 4th grade year!
